Désirée C. Mittman is the founder of Mustard Seed Financial Coaching, a financial coaching firm that lets you become the hero in your financial story. One of Désirée’s greatest privilege as a financial coach is to help people improve their quality of life so that they can live a life of abundance. Désirée is a graduate of North Carolina State University (B.S. in Finance and B.S. in Accounting) and Wake Forest University (MBA). She has over 13 years of financial services experience with a focus in real estate. Currently, Désirée is employed at Credit Suisse where she is the Business Manager for Engineering, Environment, Health & Safety division. She is also a Managing Manager of Novaius Premier Real Estate Solutions LLC, a mother-daughter dynamic duo real estate investment firm. In her free time, you can typically catch her at track meets in her role as a USA Track and Field Official, on the tennis courts or socializing with family and friends.
Brooke is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant with 9 years of maternal health experience. Hailing from North Carolina, Brooke received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from East Carolina University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from North Carolina Central University. Brooke trained in lactation through the Mary Rose Tully Training Initiative at UNC Chapel Hill where she deepened her knowledge of the field of lactation. She enjoys assisting new and experienced families alike in their birth and breastfeeding journeys. Brooke has collectively breastfed her three children for six years. Each child presented their own challenges, but (to quote Brooke’s mom), “breastfeeding is the best gift I’ve given my children.”

Latoya Pearson is a Regional Sales Manager for Nestlé Purina Petcare, where she is responsible for driving business, people and organizational development across the Eastern US region. A native of Gainesville, Florida, she attended Gainesville High School and is a graduate of Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University (FAMU). She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a Masters degree in Human Resource Management. Latoya authored “The 7 Step Transition From Student to Professional”. This Amazon-rated best-seller is a self-help guide for high school and college students seeking to enter the corporate world. She conducts seminars on leadership development and interview skills throughout the country and has consulted for several colleges and organizations. The Queen City Metropolitan Chapter of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. recently elected Latoya Pearson as Chapter President. Inducted as a member of the Queen City Metropolitan Chapter in 2010, Latoya has served in many leadership roles within the organization. She has most recently served as Third Vice President of Membership and Chapter Development, where she devoted herself to growing, recruiting and retaining prominent members of the organization. She has also served as Nominating Committee Chair, Communications Chair and Chair of My Sister’s Keeper Luncheon, a signature fundraising event which awards over $4,000 in college scholarships and honors six women for their outstanding service to the community annually. Latoya is a benevolent servant with the goal of helping others. She has served as a foster parent and continues to be a resource for the foster children. She has also served with several organizations, including West Mecklenburg High School Advisory Board, Management Education Alliances, FAMU Alumni-Charlotte Chapter, Urban League of Central Carolinas, Network of Executive Women-Carolina Chapter, and National Sales Network-Charlotte Chapter.
